Exploring the Data (Maxime)
Continued development on an script to process astronomical FITS images using MATLAB. In particular, the script removes noise from the images via dark, flat and bias frames and gives a basic user interface for analysis.

Basic Astrophotography (Alex and Lea)
Investigation of basic astrophotographic techniques, including the Sun, the Moon and star trails. Additionally some sample CCD images were processed, but this was not the main emphasis of the report.

Pretty Colors in Space (Dani and Pawel)
Discussion and techniques for processing CCD photos using IRIS. Specifically black and white filtered images taken in various photometric systems were converted to (false) colour images. The report also includes a brief discussion of tools used to enhance image quality, such as Gaussian Blur subtraction.

Panoramas with clouds (Yves)
Dicussion of the workflow associated with joining images into a panorama using the free software, Hugin. The report outlines how to best process the images and how the flexibility of the software allows the user to finely tune the final picture.
